The day of unfortunate events at SGH Part 1

With a new pair of Adidas shoes and an old pair of Nike socks ...

Tad wrong combination somehow, blisters developed all around my ankle as tat stupid pair of old Nike socks kept slipping down .. (Oh wait, why am I writing these extraneous crap .. straight to the point).

I limped my way to SGH just in time at 3pm for my appointment, not too early, not too late, just nice. The usual Dr Lee who dealt with my case was away for her studies. I was told that a new doctor will be assigned to me this time. For 1 good hour, the display at Room 4 showed 1425 .... Someone must have had a big problem to be talking to a psychiatrist for more than an hour.

I should have taken my lunch before that ..

I made an enquiry at the reception, I wanted to know how many people are there in front of me before I can get to see the doctor. She dangled a a moment, talking to me and multitasking on her own work at the same time. "I'll check". I got back to my seat .. She appeared minutes after, she didn't come to me with my expected answer. I supposed she's busy with something else. After another good 20 minutes, I went to her again. "So, how many ?"

"Errr, which room ah?" .. (So, you were just humouring me 20 minutes ago?)
I have her all the necessary details that she needed. At this moment, 1425 changed to 1445. Should be my turn soon!! But alas, she came back with a reply, "You didn't make an appointment right? We haven't found your records." I was hungry, fuming and PISSED! "I DO have an appointment and I''ve been here since 3 (fucking !) pm. You waited till now to tell me that you THINK I did not make an appointment and my records have not been found ?!?!"

Somehow, it prompted her to action a little, she went to some room (presumely where my records are stored), at the same time, she said, "Please wait outside Room 4 for your turn". Soon 1445 changed to 1510. Does that meant I got skipped ?!?!? Well, there's a clause saying that numbers will not be sequence, there's nothing much I can whine about that. But obviously, my records are not even on the doctor's table in the first place, hence I got skipped even though I had an earlier appointment!

The wait seemed forever, my patience is wearing thin .. She finally appeared with my documents. "So sorry, you are next after this patient." THANK YOU! (I better be next!).
